Retooling an Old Business
I’ve been the biggest part of my free time with a project for my dad’s business. He’s was wanting a website, it seemed when he bought the business the domain didn’t come with the purchase. I had warned him to put the domain as an asset to be turned over with the sale on paper, he didn’t. So I’m starting with a fresh slate and thinking about it might be a good thing. The type business he’s in usually just has a simple static brochure type website. I’ve researched it and haven’t found one in another part of the country that has tired a Web 2.0 approach, so we can break the mold.
One of the ideas I’ve had running around in my vacant mind is incorporating a mapping api into the site. Allowing folks attending events away to find the out the way places. The challenge I’ve found is that most of the mapping services out there can miss locations in east Tennessee by a country mile. The last couple of days have been spent emailing the problem and getting a few answers. The one thing I’ve learned is that mapping is an ongoing and improving. The best thing I’ve found out was they welcome input.

Bob’s has added a nice touch with the Three Stooges.
New Yorkers may be looking to Indonesia for ideas to keep their governors in line. The country will make masseuses wear locks on their pants.
In the morning I’m not looking for for signs from above in my cereal bowl, I figure it’s a good sign that I woke up alive. Someone that was wide awake and looking found at corn flake shaped like a heart. The breakfast nugget is on Ebay. I think it’s an unwritten law to sell iconic corn flakes there.
