An Open Wheel Racing Fan’s Dream Car
I’ve watched and covered about every type of racing there is over the years. Dirt track, NASCAR, Indy Racing League, Craftsman Trucks, school bus, lawn mower and about everything that involves rubber on the road. Open wheel racing is one the most fascinating from the aero and techno aspects. Those cars are just fun to watch.
Most of the racing exposure doesn’t usually have give me a lead foot while driving or even lead me to buy a garage of muscle cars. But there is one car that I just get a full blown case of car lust over the the Ariel Atom. When I first saw that bad puppy, I pasted it off as a toy. Later I get to see one run on a closed track I wanted one. A few of rhe Ariel Atom show up a Ebay (follow the link). They normally hit around $80,000 mark, so they are out of my reach. I can picture myself buying one if a hit the PowerBall.
These cars but you in the mindset of Indy Car, but hopefully you wouldn’t hit a crew member with one of these.
For induring a rough week over a wreck he had with Dale Earnhardt, Jr., Kyle Busch managed to win the Sprint Cup race in Darlington.
