Comcast Does It. Why Can’t The TN GOP?
If found an article at PC Authority tonight that told tales of Comcast checking blogs and Twitter for gripes about their service and Comcast making contact with the person offering support. It’s a smart move keeping ears and eyes open to new ways customers complain. 24 hours is about all it takes to get a bad reputation that would take years to over come.
If the Tennessee Republican Party had adopted that thinking, there wouldn’t have been blogged about so heavy about turning the press away from the annual Stateman’s Dinner, a couple examples here and here. I know the TN GOP isn’t government, but if they are true of heart about wanting to win back some seats that have been lost they should been making open roads to get all the earned media they can. Karl “The Architect” Rove was the keynote speaker. In a later statement by Bill Hobbs they released that the media was welcome if they bought a ticket and no recording devices would be allowed. I guess they aren’t aware how much the average journalist makes and it’s really doesn’t really doesn’t play well to readers and viewers not to see video or photos of an event. It adds a new entry “Checkbook Journalism”.
Rove refuses to testify over waterboarding and can just make me wonder if he was the reason for blackout.
