Just Another Saturday Night on the Other Side of Town
Most Saturdays I’m just out there. Day has been a little different, my daughter came over to spend a couple nights with me. The majority of the time she’ll only come when she and her brother are here as a package deal. My son will come over by his lonesome anytime he can just to enjoy the ‘guy time’.
I was little off my game. She’s grown so quick and it seems everytime I see her she’s grown by leaps. I can remember when the only place she wanted to eat at was McDonalds. I would look forward to the days where she’d want to eat at place where the dessert wasn’t served in the Happy Meal box. As she grew older my girl would want to eat at a Ruby Tuesdays or the like and I was glad to see the a different landscape while grazing. Tonight we were debating where to grab supper tonight. The dining optioned I had prepared for were the new places in town and the standards of classic Mixed-American cuisine around. We couldn’t decide on ‘Tuesdays’, Asian, Mexican or anything else. Finally she said she just wanted to go to Micky Ds for the Sweet Tea. I was just glad didn’t have to climb to the top of the playground slide to retrieve her like I did when she was three years old.
The other great accomplisment that has come out the weekend is she’s finally starting to work on the blog and domain that she wanted a while back. My baby wanted to have the right look and feel to it before she hung her name and time to it. I just wanted her to do it as an outlet to express her life and give me a insight into that life that’s passing by me rapidly. I’ll have a link in my blogroll to her blog after I she’s hung to the task.
