Saturday Night on Thursday and No “Falin”

If you don’t think this might be the best year of Saturday Night Live in some time you haven’t been watching the show so far. Tonight they started the Thursday night specials that run until the election. The opening skit about the debate in Nashville shows the Thursday night venture might be worth watching, when they bring back one of my SNL favorites Bill Murray. The question Murray put to ‘candidates’ was what can be done to get the Chicago Cubs to win the pennant and possibly the World Series. It was a hard question, but someone had to ask it. Well it’s still painful subject around my house.

With the buzz about Tina Fey’s take on Sarah Palin I was expecting a Fey as Palin or ‘Falin’ skit on the inaugural Thursday night. Falin that does have a ring to it…

If you did manage to stay up later and catch Letterman you could catch another Murray sighting. Here’s a note for your next Trival Prusuit match, Bill Murray was Dave’s first guest on his morning show, The Night Show on NBC and also The Late Show when Letterman moved to CBS. The Murray/Letterman interview started out as a “Town Hall” that everyone enjoyed in Nashville this week.
