The Dylan Photos Revisited

2009 November 24

After the story amazing story about the Bob Dylan photographs that were discovered and developed 31 years later, I was informed of another company’s role in the story.

After Mark Estabrook had developed his film, the negatives were used by Ilford for promotional and press purposes. When it came time to create display prints for PhotoPlus Expo last October,  Digital Silver Imaging was brought in to print the exhibition prints for the big Expo.

Digital Silver Imaging is hybrid photo lab specializing in digital to real silver halide black and white photography. The Massachusetts company is using state of the art scanners, enlargers using lasers as the light source and years of knowledge in black and white printmaking to deliver world-class prints.

I’ve been in contact with Christopher Bowers at D.S.I. and I’m hoping to have more about their services, service area and background in the near future.
